Shooting

The annual shooting match between the School and the Old Boys, postponed from the first week of term due to heavy snow, took place this afternoon (Wednesday 31st March) on the school range.

Last year's shooting captain, Alex Francis, had assembled a team of eight to take on seven members of the school (the best six from each team counted), resulting in a win for Old Skinners' by 465 : 448. Alex led the way with a commanding 90, with Matt Joannes scoring in the eighties, well supported by the brothers Reed, Adam Boorman and Tom Woodroof. Nevertheless, the top score of the afternoon came from Tom Mills who produced 92 for the school, so winning the OS Shooting Shield - appropriate recognition for his efforts in the BSSRA League during the term, where he was the top scorer with an average of 91.8.
