Old Skinners vs Old Juddians
Annual Golf Day
The above event took place at Lamberhurst Golf Club on the afternoon of Friday 13th June 2008.
Both teams fielded teams of seven players, with the best five Stableford scores to count.
After a long lunch, longer for some than others, the match began! Rain threatened but the course stayed dry and the sun shone, and good golf ensued.
I am pleased to report that the Old Skinners triumphed, scoring 176 points to the Old Juddian’s 162. It has been a long time since such a resounding margin. Top Old Skinner was Nigel Exall (38 points), with Michael Gadsden (37 points), Phil Sprackling (36 points), Jim Hendley (34 points) and James Priestley (31 points) completing the team scores. Our President Steve Bassi, and his brother Graham followed closely behind.
My thanks go to all the players for making it such an enjoyable day, as well as Lamberhurst Golf Club for its warm welcome and hospitality.
